OSSTET Result 2026 Overview & Examination Context

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha is preparing to announce the official results for the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2026. Administered under the School & Mass Education Department, Government of Odisha, OSSTET serves as the mandatory qualifying examination for teaching aspirants seeking recruitment as secondary school educators across state government and aided high schools.

Detailed Vacancy & Eligibility Breakdown

The offline OMR-based test for both Paper 1 (Trained Graduate Teachers in Arts, Science, and Languages) and Paper 2 (Physical Education Teachers) was conducted across designated regional centers on 30 September 2026. Aspirants who previously reviewed the OSSTET Provisional Answer Key 2026 Released by BSEO recruitment details to verify their response sheets can now anticipate their finalized scorecards on the official portal by the end of October 2026.

OSSTET 2026 Examination Structure & Qualifying Marks

The OSSTET examination followed an objective multiple-choice format evaluated through pen-and-paper OMR sheets. Each paper comprised 150 questions carrying a total of 150 marks, with candidates awarded 1 mark per correct response and zero penalty for incorrect answers.

To secure eligibility certification, candidates must meet the minimum category-based benchmark set by BSE Odisha. The qualifying standards reported for the September 2026 session are outlined below:

Selection Process Stages & Certificate Validity

Qualifying the OSSTET is an essential benchmark rather than a direct employment guarantee. The overall validation sequence consists of structured administrative milestones:

• Stage 1 (Result Declaration): Tabulation of OMR response sheets against the final revised answer key by BSE Odisha.
• Stage 2 (Scorecard Download): Activation of the online score retrieval module on bseodisha.nic.in for candidate performance verification.
• Stage 3 (Certificate Issuance): Formal release of the digital OSSTET Eligibility Certificate to successful examinees.

In accordance with updated state education norms, the OSSTET pass certificate possesses lifetime validity. Qualified candidates remain permanently eligible to submit applications for upcoming secondary teacher recruitment drives conducted by the Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) and the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC).
